Grave of a Hero
Wanted to do something antiwar, but decide to do it with a High Fantasy theme, to see if it could work, consider how black and white moral usually is in High Fantasy. Up to you how it worked. This was originally supposed to be just a small low-poly project, one I would complete in a couple of days. Something easy after making a high ploy character. However it did not take long before I started to add detail, the idea just deserve it and suddenly weeks just flew by. Once the deadline was broken it seamed like a good idea to start experimenting with hand-painted PBR, to justify all time spent on it. This resulted in a terribly workflow where I was jumping back and fort between, Blender, Photoshop and Substance, using up even more time. Had also many technical problems, resulting in this being the most draining project in a while. So I suppose one should plan projects better, can’t always win, but I lke how it turned out.
Created using Blender, Zbrush, Substance Painter and lots of Photoshop.
